putting heaven above


Sky can be overrated,
with endless love and warmth pouring down from heaven,
for there be my home and heartache,
that great comfort--
putting such emphasis upon the highest I forget what i stand upon.

Earth is life and solidity,
the place that is a place,
and the cold damp wet may repell the flying dreamer,
he cannot soar forever without rest to rejuvinate-- vitality comes from below,
such lust the energy to do.

The polarity of the here and now,
between earth and sky must not beget equivocate,
in simplicity is clarity,
and i happily become rooted upon the ground,
as even i stretch beyond into beloved's blissful endlessness.
