There is a secret poem in my heart hidden by a veil,
a shroud constructed of flesh and blood,
and i have learned to yearn for release from blindness—
my beloved's brilliant promise.

I listen each day for someone to sing sequestered melody,
that song of love and transformation,
and i watch with patience the patterns in the light—
for hidden in the form is hinted darkened miracles revealed.

Fragments of truth are strewn all about,
their force sourced from beyond,
and i wait for my beloved's answer to my questions—
questions dancing notes of secret verse.
