Art Workshop Instructor Needed for One Time Workshop at THE ART STUDIOPosted by: admin on Sep 16, 2010 |

The Art Studio for People Living with Mental Illness is looking for an artist to give a workshop that encompases the following: how to stretch a canvass, and to talk about how to get your art out into the world. The workshop will be offered a Thursday at the end of October. The workshop will be 2 hours and their will be a renumeration of $150. The Art Studio for People Living with Mental Illness is a unique partnership between artists who live with mental illness, mental health professionals, and the arts community. The Art Studio provides a studio space that offers a safe and creative environment for people whose ability to pursue their art might otherwise be limited by their mental illness or the poverty with which mental illness is often associated.
The studio space is located at the Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington. It runs Thursdays from 12-3 p.m. on a drop in basis. There is a 12 participant maximum at the Studio. Art supplies are provided, and a professional artist is there for support!
