It's opening tonight, March 2, from 4:30 to 7:30 at Gallery 115 (a.k.a. U of O's visual arts gallery, a.k.a. something that I did know exists). This "ensemble of heroic video vignettes" features a new installation by Edward Janzen and runs until Friday.

Karen Bailey's new show Working Women also starts today at the Crichton Cultural Community Centre  (200 Chricton St., use Avon Lane entrance).  "Focusing on traditional female service roles, Bailey's subjects are often under-recognized in society.  Included are paintings of waitresses and hairstylists alongside Bailey's self-portraits, in acknowledgment that the female artist is also a working woman."
