THE TREWS

The Trews have recorded a song reflecting their patriot goodwill in the form of "Highway of Heroes", which musically captures the poignancy of the return of fallen members of Canada's armed forces serving in Afghanistan. The song was co-written and co-produced by The Trews and Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar) and was inspired by the 2006 death of Captain Nichola Goddard from The Trews' hometown of Antigonish, NS, who returned from duty along Canada's Highway of Heroes, the section of the MacDonald-Cartier freeway named to honour those who have sacrificed all in service of country. Proceeds from this release support the Canadian Hero Fund.

The Canadian Hero Fund is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting Canadian Military personnel and their families. As a national Civilian Charity, the Canadian Hero fund raises money through community, Grassroots efforts. The Canadian Hero fund also acts as a conduit for all Canadians to show their support and care for their sacrifice.

Marc Cohn re-invents classics from his youth on new album Listening Booth: 1970. Collaborating with longtime producer-arranger-multi-instrumentalist and fellow Grammy Award-winner John Leventhal, Marc Cohn doesn’t merely recreate the sounds of this storied time. On Listening Booth: 1970, he transforms songs from such artists as Cat Stevens, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Smokey Robinson, CCR, J.J. Cale, Paul Simon and Bread into tracks that are warm, soulful, a little sexy and full of easygoing charm. These highly personal interpretations have been so creatively and confidently re-imagined they feel brand new. Black Veil Brides formed in 2007, rallying behind the message “Be yourself, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” while drawing on the musical influence of Alice Cooper, Misfits, KISS, and Motley Crue.
