Many Guises: Contemporary Self-Portraits Curator’s talk in the exhibition with Judith Parker. | Friday October 29 at 12:00 noon. | Free admission. This exhibition presents six Ottawa/Gatineau artists gathered under the curatorial theme of the self-portrait expressed as a dual-image photograph. Through the pairing or juxtaposing of two images, either in a diptych or single image format, the artists expand a narrative reading of the self-portrait. Located in the heart downtown Ottawa, the Bytown Museum explores the stories of an evolving city and its residents from its early days as Bytown to present day Ottawa. The Museum is located at the Rideau Canal locks between Parliament Hill and the Château Laurier hotel—one of the most picturesque sites in the city.
